“Charlie’s Angels 2” star Lucy Liu returned to her native Queens, N.Y., after wrapping up filming on the set, recently, and bought both her best friend and her favorite high-school teacher a fully loaded Porsche Boxster. The total cost was $140,000.

Earlier, Lucy had called her friend and teacher and asked about their favorite colors. A few days later, a blue Porsche was delivered to her friend and Lucy personally drove a “banana yellow” one over to her teacher’s door. While the stunned woman looked at the car with much admiration, Lucy told her: “You’ve always been a huge inspiration to me.”

Money may not be able to buy happiness, like the experts say, but there are times when it certainly can bring moments of happiness into a person’s life. Way to motor, Lucy!
