Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers has always lived on the edge with biting and cutting remarks that she thinks are funny and will get her good press, when in reality, are stupid and unprofessional attempts to attract attention to a fading career. I’m not going to dignify the lack of taste exhibited by the dim-witted comic-actress in one of her recent attempts to be funny by including what she said in one of her routines about the gallant firefighters who died in the 9-11 tragedy in New York City. But, let me say this: Any person in show business who has to survive by ridiculing or degrading someone else doesn’t deserve our respect or applause. And, an entertainer making a public mockery of anyone who lost their life in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center should be barred forever from performing in public in America. I’m against censorship, but in this case, somebody needs to put a zipper on Joan’s big mouth. In the meantime, don’t go to her gigs, and don’t buy her books. Don’t watch her on TV and boycott stores who sell her products. This woman is not funny, she’s a mockery.
