Q. You were born in an exotic location weren’t you?
A. On March 27, 1940 in Essex, England.
Q. Though you’ve excelled in a number of areas, what would you consider your greatest claim to fame?
A. Oh, it had to be the opportunity of being on the pages of Playboy. I was never an official Playmate of the Month. I was featured in the magazine on seven separate occasions.
Q. As one of Playboy’s most popular photo subjects, you were listed in Playboy’s “100 Sexiest Stars of the Century” in 1999, right?
A. Correct. I was ranked #30, sandwiched between two other “swinging chicks of the ‘60s,” Mamie Van Doren (at #29) and Elke Summer (at #31).
Q. How were you actually discovered for Playboy?
A. It was sorta funny, really. I was aware of the growing prestige and power of Playboy, so I called the magazine myself, and Hugh Hefner picked up the phone. He said he’d seen me on TV and knew I was right for his pages. My first appearance was in the magazine’s September 1958 issue, in a feature called “The Bosom.”
Q. After you proved to be a popular hit with readers, Hef asked you to do another spread didn’t he?
A. That’s right. I was brought back for another feature; this one was called “The Bosom in Hollywood.”
Q. Let me ask you a personal question. What were your measurements when you appeared in Playboy?
A. My measurements were 43-22-36. I was still in my teens at the time, so, I guess it’s no wonder everybody stared at me in awe.
Q.You weren’t always a blonde were you?
A.No, I was actually a brunette when I first appeared in Playboy.
I became a blonde in 1960.
Q. You have a coupla of famous nicknames don’t you?
A. Yes, that’s right. Hefner first called me “The Body,” and later, he tagged me “The Bosom.”
Q. You once dated Elvis and later married former NFL star Dan Pastorini, right?
A. I dated Elvis twice, when he was filming “King Creole” in 1960. Dan and I were married from 1972-1982. We have a daughter named Brahna.”
Q. Do you have a philosophy about sex?
A. Yeah, I do. Sex doesn’t have to stop when you reach 60. Doing it one time well is a lot better than doing it 14 times badly.
