ANNA NICOLE SMITH STALKER
 Peter Hatten, Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend, has pleaded innocent on stalking charges. The reality diva says Hatten has been harassing her ever since they broke up two years ago. He threatened her with a knife, she claims, prompting her to break up with him. The new reality-show star claims Hatten still won't leave her alone.
Charged with battery, assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, and stalking, Hatten pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles County Court, according to Associated Press reports. (Smith was not present at the arraignment).
In a pre-trial hearing last month, Smith claimed that their relationship ended in June 2000 when he approached her with a knife at her home, though she never reported that incident to police. Since then, however, she says, he's continued to call her.
In the incident before the court, Smith claims Hatten phoned earlier this year to tell her he was coming over with a gun. Her neighbor, Rene Navarro, went to her house to persuade Hatten to leave but was allegedly punched and kicked by the accused man.
Hatten's lawyer has disputed that account. He claims the defendant was living in Arizona at the time and was in Los Angeles visiting relatives when he called Smith, and later dropped by “with flowers and a friend.”
OSBOURNE’S FAMILY ADDITION
 The Osbournes are taking in a family friend, a teen, Robert Marcato, whose mom died of colon cancer recently. According to the New York Post, the Osbournes paid for around-the-clock nursing care during her final days. Marcato will move in to the metal clan's famous mansion; be treated to room and board and, ultimately, a college education. He will also appear on the upcoming season of “The Osbournes.”
Marcato, who has already appeared on the MTV series a few times in his capacity as Kelly Osbourne's friend, has known the family for six years, having first befriended elder daughter Aimee (the one who sat out the show last season). Sharon Osbourne told the New York Post Marcato wants to go to drama school.
Marcato's mother, Regan, was just 36 when she succumbed to colon cancer. Sharon, who is fighting the same disease, and who intends to show her own chemotherapy treatments on “The Osbournes,” told the Post that she was doing fine since she started her treatments. “I can kick anyone’s ass right now,” she commented.
CONNERY-BURNS EVACUATIONS
The Vltava River overflow has caused 50,000 Czechs to flee and halted productions on two Hollywood action spectacles, the Associated Press has reported. Among the casualties of the worst floods in Prague in a century are two Hollywood action blockbusters currently filming in the Czech capital.
 According to the Hollywood Reporter, “A Sound of Thunder,”  which stars Edward Burns, had to evacuate a set on an island in the Vltava River, and two sets on Sean Connery's “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'” were damaged. Plus, Connery had to evacuate the Four Seasons hotel on the bank of the river.
Since flooding began, some 50,000 people have evacuated the city, and seven Czechs have died. There was no major damage reported on the “Thunder” sets, but damage to “Gentlemen” sets was more extensive. A submarine set was submerged under 5 feet of water, and another set under construction outside the city was washed out as well.
Prague is a favorite location for Hollywood filmmakers, for both its relatively inexpensive labor and its Old World look (it frequently doubles for the London or Paris of a century or more ago). Much of the current “XXX” was shot there.
However, since the flooding, domestic and foreign film and TV production has ground to a halt. Even the first floor of Kampa Park, the industry-hangout restaurant near the Four Seasons, is under water.
PRIESTLEY RACING ACCIDENT
 According to Jason Priestley's manager, the actor will race again. The serious injuries he suffered in a pre-race crash recently won't stop him from returning to the track.
Priestley has a questionable driving record -- which includes several crashes, one DUI-related, before the recent racetrack accident that put him in the hospital with several serious injuries.
Priestley crashed his car into both the inner and outer walls of the track on a Sparta, Ky. speedway during a pre-race practice. He was airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital in Lexington, where doctors treated him for a moderate concussion, a broken nose, a fractured thoracic vertebra, bruises and cuts on his face and neck, and fractures in both feet. Later, he was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
 In a statement by doctors on the Kelley Racing website, there are no signs of paralysis, though the actor is in a “guarded condition.” Reportedly, he is showing remarkable improvement.
Priestley, however, faces weeks of painful recovery. Doctors fitted him with a back brace and said that surgery will be necessary to repair the bones in his feet, though not in his spine.
CAGE-PRESLEY WEDDING
 Lisa Marie Presley and Nicholas Cage have, according to the Associated Press, married in Hawaii just in time for the intense media coverage of Elvis week, marking the 25th anniversary of the King's death. The wedding took place in a private ceremony at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows resort, according to hotel employees who reported the event to the local paper, the Honolulu Advertiser.
The Advertiser reported that the bride's mother, Priscilla Presley, was on hand, as was Weston Coppola Cage, the actor's 12-year-old son by a previous relationship (with model Kristina Fulton).
It's the second marriage for Cage, 38, who was married for six years to Patricia Arquette. It's the third for Presley, 34, who was previously married to Danny Keough (father of her two children, Danielle, 13, and Benjamin, 10) and to Michael Jackson.
Presley and Cage started dating last year, after the Oscar-winning actor approached her at a party and mentioned that he was a fan of her father's -- as is evident from his performances in “Wild at Heart” and “Honeymoon in Vegas,” (the latter included a sequence in which he donned a King-style jumpsuit and went skydiving with a group of “Flying Elvises.” They broke up late last year but started dating again in May.
Two years ago, Lisa Marie was briefly engaged to Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter John Oszajca.
HESTON ALZHEIMER’S ANNOUNCEMENT
 Charlton Heston has announced in a dramatic videotape that he has symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. Spokesmen say the actor and National Rifle Association president plans to keep working, especially for political causes. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the symptoms, which are consistent with Alzheimer's, were diagnosed 'in the last few days.
Heston, reportedly, will be politicking throughout a very ambitious campaign schedule this fall, as well as negotiating for a role in a movie.
Best known for heroic movie roles in such films as “The Ten Commandments” and the original version of “Planet of the Apes,” Heston is, reportedly, working on an animated version of “Ben-Hur,” the movie that won him a Best Actor Oscar in 1959.
Although known recently as a conservative activist, Heston also has a history of support for John F. Kennedy and the civil rights movement, including participating in Martin Luther King's 1963 march on Washington. He invoked that history in his video statement, saying, “I believe I'm still the fighter that Dr. King and JFK and Ronald Reagan knew, but it's a fight I must someday call a draw. I must reconcile courage and surrender in equal measures. Please feel no sympathy for me.”
Nancy Reagan, whose husband made a similar statement announcing his own Alzheimer's status before retiring from public life a decade ago, issued her own statement, saying, “Our family knows all too well the cruelty of this disease, and we pray that God will give the Heston family... the strength to face each day that lies ahead.”
MARTHA STEWART PROBABLE SUBPOENA
 The New York Times has reported that Congress may subpoena Martha Stewart. A day after former ImClone chief Sam Waksal was indicted, the committee said it might subpoena Stewart's testimony. At issue is Stewart's sale of nearly 4,000 shares of ImClone last December, the day before the stock tanked on news that the company's new drug would not receive federal approval.
Stewart, who is a friend of Waksal's, has said she gave her broker, Peter Bacanovic, a standing order to sell the stock if the price fell below $60. According to the Times, however, Bacanovic's assistant, Douglas Faneuil, has told prosecutors that Bacanovic ordered the sale based on inside knowledge from Waksal, and that Bacanovic also asked him to tell prosecutors of the standing order to sell the shares, an order which Faneuil now says did not exist, and of which no records have been found. (Bacanovic and Fanueil have not commented on the Times report.) Meanwhile, Waksal was indicted on charges of insider trading, bank fraud, forging a signature, and destroying records to obstruct a federal investigation.
Stewart, who is also under investigation by the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission, has yet to be charged with a crime. Still, the scandal has damaged her profile and her business. It's kept her off her regular appearances on CBS’ “Early Show,” and it's been blamed for depressing the stock price of her company by nearly 60 percent since the insider-trading allegations were first revealed on June 12.
HILLARY-BILL CLINTON DIVORCE DEAL
 Doug Thompson, a prize-winning Washington columnist, has reported that Hillary Clinton has been told that if she dumps her womanizing husband, her public image will improve dramatically and her political career will rise as well.
Reportedly, Hillary has worked out a tentative deal with the former president, after catching him in yet another skirt-chasing episode. Sources close to the couple say Bill Clinton can pursue all the women he wants, as long as he does it outside the country and keeps his womanizing private and out of the press. And, if and when Hillary orders, he must appear with her at public functions as her dutiful husband.
Washington insiders say the marriage is truly over this time, though it will not happen immediately. Reportedly, the divorce deal was worked out between the couple after newspapers in New Zealand and Australia revealed that Clinton had a “secret, late-night rendezvous” with Charlotte Dawson, a busty blonde who hosts a TV show Down Under called “How’s Life.” The sexy TV personality has denied that she and Clinton had an affair.
 Recently, Clinton was also seen socially with Naomi Campbell twice – once in a London nightclub and once while sharing dinner at a romantic mountaintop restaurant in Austria. It was reported that he was enchanted with her, though, on both occasions, it was noted that she was the date of trusted Clinton aide Doug Band.
