Q. Is it true that a woman in Montana actually threatened to kill Ted Kennedy and Prince William? – N.C., Phoenix, Arizona.
A. That’s right, but the woman who targeted Kennedy and Prince William for assassination was nabbed by authorities, and is now cooling her heels in jail. Tashala Lynett Hayman, age 22, has been charged with mailing the Massachuetts senator two bottles of cynide-laced soda along with a handwritten note that read: “Have a Coke and a smile.” After tracking the poisoned pop bottles, cops searched the woman’s mobile home, where they found more contaminated soda addressed to Prince William, plus containers of cyanide, a wine bottle that had been tampered with in an unaddressed package and various notes about the Kennedy and royal families. (The charges against Hayman include mailing poison with intent to kill or injure and production of false Social Security cards. If convicted, she faces 30 years in prison and a $60,000 fine).

Q. Is that guy Ryan Seacrest, who hosted “American Idol” on TV, gay or is that just a bunch of hype? – J.B., Dallas, Texas.
A. Seacrest claims he’s straight. Fans of the show constantly asked the network and the media if he was gay because of the way he highlighted his hair, his shopping habits and the fact that he confessed to adoring tanning booths.

Q. How much did producers have to pay Pamela Anderson to talk her into returning to “Baywatch” after announcing her hiatus? – C.M., Portland, Ore.
A. David Hasselhoff originally offered Anderson $250,000 for just three days work on the show, but she turned him down. So, he upped the ante to $350,000 for just two weeks work. Again, she said no. When Hasselhoff asked her what it would take to get her to return to the set, she told him $500,000 for three days work. Hasselhoff then asked Carmen Electra, Donna D’Errico, Billy Warlock and Jeremy Jackson and other co-stars to each take a $25,000 salary cut in order to pay Pamela. Everybody balked, initially, but when Hasselhoff explained that unless he agreed to her terms, the sexy personality would not return for the special “two-hour re-union” movie. So, they reluctantly agreed and Hasselhoff met Pam’s demand.

Q. Has Michael Jackson really become addicted to drugs and alcohol? – C.P., Tulsa, Okla.
A. Though it’s always hard to ascertain the truth about any rumor concerning Michael Jackson, it appears that he has, indeed, become dangerously addicted to drugs and booze. The situation was so acute, his family traveled across country to convince him to quit. Not only did Jackson flatly refuse any treatment, he also banned the family from any additional emergency intervention. (Four family members – sisters Janet and Rebbie and brothers Tito and Randy flew on a chartered jet from NY to LA after receiving a call from a member of Michael’s staff. He told them that Michael was hooked on Demerol and was drinking large amounts of wine).

Q. What’s the latest on the showdown between Liza Minnelli and her stepmom concerning the sale of Liza’s Beverly Hills home? – C.F., Salt Lake City, Utah.
A. Originally, Liza tried to sell the home, where her 94-year-old stepmom has lived for the past 40 years, and her stepmom sued, claiming that Liza’s act would have made her homeless and put her out on the street. Liza then reconsidered, and tried to cancel the sale of the $2.75-million home, which was left to her by her late father, Vincente Minnelli. The prospective buyers then filed suit against Liza, charging her with breach of contract and wanted in excess of $50,000 in damages. (Liza’s attorney claims the whole deal was one big misunderstanding and contends the purchase agreement was never a valid contract).

Q. Is it true that Roseanne is changing her name again? – L.W., Denver, Colorado.
A. Technically, yes. Originally, she went by the name of Roseanne Barr. Then, she decided to become Roseanne Arnold. Then, just Roseanne. Three husbands and as many name changes later, she has now filed a petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court for yet another name change. This time, she wants to be known as Roseanne Cherri Barr.
