Q. I heard that Pamela Lee Anderson had been diagnosed recently with hepatitis C. How did she get it? Is it fatal? – J.C., Cheyene, Wyoming.
A. When Pamela found out she had hepatitis C, she asked her doctor if she could she get rid of it. He told her “You can’t.” Pam was horrified. She began reading about the condition, which kills some 10,000 Americans each year. She learned that treatment with the drug Interferon can sometimes eradicate the illness. But, the treatments are agonizing and only about 50 percent of those taking them are cured. Pam decided to take a year off from her rigorous schedule and undergo the treatment and the after effects, which she was told would be somewhat similar to having a severe case of the flu – sore joints, nausea, vomiting, skin rash and itching. Experts say that hepatitis C can be contracted from contaminated needles used for tattooing. Pam thinks she contacted the disease from using the same needle used by her ex-lover Tommy Lee. However, Lee has denied the charge, claiming he never has had hepatitis C.

Q. What’s this stuff I’ve been hearing about Ted Turner bankrolling a movie and wanting to be in it? I understand the producer got pissed off and all hell broke loose. – N.B., Omaha, Nebraska
A. Ted put up millions for a sequel to his Civil War picture, “Gettysburg.” He was given a cameo role in the film, but, after looking at the flick, the director cut Ted out, he said, because the film was too long. After much discussion, the director agreed to put Ted’s scene back in the film for the DVD version.

Q. I understand that Oscar winner Russell Crowe refuses to eat the food served on movie sets. What’s the deal? – C.H., Detroit, Mich.
A. That’s true. The fact is, Russell hates the food served on location so much, he hired his own private chef from Hollywood to cook red meat for him three meals a day.

Q. Was The Who’s Pete Townsend “outed” by a former friend? – B.M., Portland, OR.
A. Ex-pal Danny Fields claims he had an affair with Townshend and wrote in a book that they were “boyfriend and boyfriend.” Townshend admitted to “experimenting” with men in the ‘60s, but said that he must have been drugged to have had sex with Fields. After all the smoke had cleared, Fields denied that he and Townschend were boyfriends and that he ever drugged the musician.

Q. I understand that Sharon Stone is planning to quit making Hollywood films. Any truth to that or is it a rumor? – K.L., Dallas, Texas
A. Sharon is indeed putting her film career on hold for the time being, but has no plans to quit making movies. He current situation is based on her desire to care for her dad, who’s currently battling cancer. The recent announcement that her father had esophageal cancer floored her. She decided to put her “comeback” (after recuperating from her own health problems) on hold for awhile, until the situation with her father stabilizes.

Q. I think Jennifer Love Hewitt always looks fantastic. Which designers does she like? – C.B., Tucson, Arizona.
A. Jennifer has several favorite designers. It depends on where she’s going and what the occasion is. If the affair is fancy, she sticks to American classics. For black-tie affairs, most of the time she wears Richard Tyler gowns or Ralph Lauren – simple, pretty, maybe with a little beads here and there, but nothing too flashy. If it’s a casual thing, she’ll generally wear a loose shirt by Marc Jacobs.

Q. Is Hercules star Kevin Sorbo quitting Hollywood to become a furniture salesman? – W.W., Salt Lake City, Utah.
A. No way. He’s just promoting a home furniture line for California-based Boyd Furniture in his spare time. Sorbo and his wife Sam plan to design their own furniture, which they hope to begin selling in October. The first collection will be displayed at this fall’s International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C.

Q. Will Sarah Michelle Geller do a sequel to her role in a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” film? – C.K., Austin, Texas
A. Nope. She hates the 1992 film that starred her and Kristy Swanson, despite the fact that it helped launch her career.

Q. Did Jennifer Lopez really insure her butt? – C.J., Oklahoma City, Okla.
A. JLo is rumored to have insured her rear for $300-million.

Q. What kind of music does Brad Pitt like? – A.J.C., Pasadena, Calif.
A. Brad is into Radiohead, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones and Smashing Pumpkins.
