A. Absolutely. It’s not true at all. The “Total Recall” star apparently forgot that she never belonged to the organization of “super bright” people. She recently admitted that her claims of Mensa ties were lies, explaining she meant to say she had gone to a Mensa school. Whatever – Mensa school official Jim Blackmore said it’s not so because Mensa did not run any schools when she was a kid.
Q. Is it true that Josh Hartnett was a star athlete in high school before an injury sidelined him? – G.R., Billings, Montana.
A. That’s right. Hartnett was a popular jock at South High in Minneapolis, Minn. before he suffered a serious knee injury. He later turned to acting and played the male lead in the school’s production of “Kiss Me, Kate.”
Q. The last time I was in Las Vegas, some guy at a casino told me that Ray Charles was getting into the gambling business. Any truth to that or is it a rumor? – W.J., Little Rock, Ark.
A. Charles has entered into a business relationship with a Vegas-based company. They plan to come out with a line of casino gambling machines with sporting controls in Braille.
Q. Is it true that Jennifer Lopez is opening a restaurant in California? – N.Y., Pecos, Texas.
A. Yes. The entertainer plans to open a Cuban-themed bar and restaurant in Pasadena.
Q. Is Phil Donahue really coming out of retirement and going back on TV? – J.P., Akron, Ohio.
A. That’s right. The buzz in show biz circles is that Phil is returning because he can’t stand being trapped at home with his nagging wife, Marlo Thomas. Phil has been off the air for the last six years. He plans to join MSNBC to do a prime-time talk show which will put him in competition with Fox TV’s Bill O’Reilly.
Q. I understand that the president’s daughter is hitting the bottle again, despite warnings from authorities in Texas. Am I right? – T.R., Charleston, S.C.
A. Jenna Bush already has two misdemeanor raps for using false identification and being in possession of alcohol at her Austin hangouts. If she’s nabbed a third time, she faces 180 days in jail, ironically, under tough anti-drinking legislation signed into law by her father when he was the Texas governor. (She was spotted recently dining with friends at Fleming’s steakhouse in Austin. When a round of booze was ordered, the waitress checked Jenna Bush’s ID and discovered it had someone else’s name on it. When the manager was summoned, he informed Jenna she couldn’t be served, but one of her friend’s parents ordered drinks for the table and passed them to Jenna during their meal. She, reportedly, had a rum and Coke, a vodka gimlet, a chocolate martini and shared g lasses of wine from the three bottles served to the group).

A. It looks like they may be giving their ill-fated romance another chance. Nic flew to Florda recently and the couple spent a coupla of days together on the west coast of Florida. Later, they decided to go to Miami together. They went shopping in South Beach and strolled along the beach hand in hand. Reportedly, they’re making plans to spend more time together in the near future.
